This Privacy Policy explains how VideoPlus handles information when you use the VideoPlus website, browser extension, license service, checkout, and customer support (together, the "Service").

1. What VideoPlus Does

VideoPlus helps you detect, download, or record supported video and audio in your browser. The VideoPlus website is not a media hosting service and does not provide an account where you upload downloaded or recorded files. Media you save is written to the location selected by you or your browser.

Websites you visit can still observe your activity under their own privacy policies. This policy does not apply to those websites, your browser provider, or a browser-extension store.

2. Information We Handle

Free use

You do not need to create a VideoPlus website account or provide payment details to use the free tier. The website or its hosting provider may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and diagnostic or security information.

Licenses

When you activate, validate, or deactivate a paid license, the Service processes the license key and an instance name or activation identifier. We or our licensing provider may also process the license status, product, purchase identifier, customer name, and customer email associated with that license. This is necessary to confirm access to paid features and prevent misuse.

Purchases and subscriptions

Checkout and order management are provided by a payment provider identified at checkout. The payment provider collects payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. VideoPlus does not receive your full card number. We may receive information needed to fulfill and support the order, such as your name, email address, product, order status, subscription status, refund status, and license details.

Support

If you contact us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, including any screenshots, logs, URLs, or other information you choose to send. Please do not send content or personal information that is not needed to resolve your request.

Affiliate referrals

The website loads Lemon Squeezy affiliate tracking. If you arrive through an affiliate link, a referral identifier and related device or browser information may be used to attribute a later purchase. The advertised referral window is 30 days. You can restrict cookies and similar storage in your browser, although doing so may prevent referral attribution.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide free and paid VideoPlus features;
  • Activate, validate, and deactivate licenses;
  • Fulfill purchases and manage subscriptions and refunds;
  • Respond to support requests;
  • Protect the Service, investigate abuse, and prevent fraud;
  • Diagnose errors and maintain Service reliability; and
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent where requested, or compliance with legal obligations.

4. When Information Is Disclosed

We may disclose relevant information:

  • To payment, licensing, hosting, support, security, and affiliate service providers that help operate the Service;
  • To comply with a valid legal request or protect the rights, safety, and security of users, VideoPlus, or others;
  • In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the Service; or
  • When you direct us or give us consent.

We do not ask you to upload downloaded or recorded media to the VideoPlus website, and we do not use the contents of that media for advertising.

5. Retention

We retain order and license records while needed to provide paid access, maintain transaction records, handle disputes, prevent fraud, and meet tax or other legal obligations. Support messages are retained while needed to resolve the request and maintain reasonable business records. Hosting and security logs are kept according to the hosting provider's retention settings. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal requirements and backups.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No network, browser extension, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your license key private and contact us if you believe it has been exposed.

7. International Processing

VideoPlus and its providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use a legally recognized transfer mechanism or another permitted basis for the transfer.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can control browser cookies and extension permissions through your browser. You can cancel a subscription through the customer portal linked in your order email. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, or object to certain processing. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.

To make a privacy request, email us using the address below. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.

9. Children

VideoPlus is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request and delete the information where appropriate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the Service or our information practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
